02 / The forest — projects & experiments

A little curiosity.
A life of its own.

Follow an idea from a character sketch to a desktop companion. Further along the trail: brand communication, operations, and new questions.

Personal project / AI-assisted product & character design

Hangy
A companion with character.

I wanted a desktop pet whose personality came through in small reactions: a proud glance, a relaxed tail, or an attempt to look composed after enjoying a little attention.

Working with Codex and AI-assisted artwork, I developed the character direction and interaction requirements, reviewed visual iterations, and refined details such as proportions, tail markings, motion, and behavior.

The result is a standalone Windows desktop companion with cursor-aware gaze, greeting and petting reactions, idle activities, and a few personal Easter eggs.

01 / Define

Personality before pixels

A sandy-gold coat, expressive ears, and a confident but easily flustered personality became the criteria for judging each version.

02 / Refine

Small details, many decisions

I reviewed silhouette, eye direction, tail-tip color, and movement continuity. Feedback became specific constraints for the next iteration.

03 / Bring to life

Delight without disruption

The Windows implementation includes 16 gaze directions, idle behavior, adjustable size, pause controls, and fullscreen pausing. Codex assisted with implementation and validation.

Work with a real-world context

Beyond the personal project

CHIP / Communications Project Apprentice

A consistent voice across platforms

Developed launch communication and social engagement ideas for Cultural Catalysts, and designed more than 50 Canva templates for Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn.

Focus: recognizable brand communication that still fits each platform.

Jetvoy.com / Operations & Organization Intern

Making room for better leads

Co-developed an inbound lead workflow in IONOS, with prioritization, labeling, follow-up, and escalation. The workflow filtered out nearly 50% of low-priority inquiries and helped surface partnership opportunities.

Focus: turning a busy inbox into a more useful decision process.

Concept studyNo. 01

Between Two Markets

Culture & consumer insight

When a brand crosses an ocean, what should travel with it—and what should change?

Read the study brief

The questionHow might the same café brand communicate everyday value to audiences in Taiwan and the United States?

The approachCompare public brand messages, map cultural assumptions, then design two locally relevant message concepts and a small interview guide.

The proposed outputA positioning map, message comparison, and a test plan that separates cultural context from individual preference.

Self-initiated concept brief. Research and audience testing have not yet been conducted; no client work or results are claimed.

Concept studyNo. 02

The Second Visit

Retention & customer behavior

The first visit gets attention. The second tells a more interesting story.

Read the study brief

The questionWhat would help a neighborhood café understand who returns after a first purchase?

The approachDesign a cohort analysis using clearly labeled synthetic transactions. Compare repeat visits by acquisition channel and first purchase, with consistent observation windows.

The proposed outputA retention worksheet and an experiment brief for a second-visit invitation, with a holdout group and a defined success metric.

Self-initiated concept brief. No customer dataset has been analyzed and no retention improvement is claimed.

Beyond the Click

Creative & campaign measurement

A popular ad isn't always a useful ad. Which signals deserve a closer look?

Read the study brief

The questionHow should a brand compare an attention-grabbing creative with one that attracts fewer, more intentional visits?

The approachBuild a measurement framework that connects creative hypotheses to clicks, qualified actions, and conversion. Specify an A/B test before looking at outcomes.

The proposed outputA creative scorecard, tracking plan, and decision rules that weigh business value alongside engagement.

Self-initiated concept brief. Campaigns have not been run; the framework is a proposal, not a performance case study.
